Hello! This is Ali Mehedi. I’m writing my own show description because, well, I don’t have a
marketing team. So, I’ll keep it short.
Made in Bangladesh is my stand-up special—a collection of jokes I’ve built up since I started
doing comedy. My material is mostly about my life journey, and trust me, it’s an interesting one.
Well, at least to me.
Growing up in a small village in Bangladesh, I never imagined I’d be performing comedy all
over the world. My dream was to study abroad and maybe land a job in IT—which I actually did.
I moved to Canada, became a citizen, finished school, and even got a job at IBM. That’s when I
realized... that wasn’t it. I know—what kind of Third World to First World privilege is this? But
here I am, living my new dream: being a funny guy.
Nothing about my journey is stereotypical. There are millions like me—people who, despite their
struggles, are living incredible lives, breaking stereotypes, defying norms, and crossing cultural
boundaries. Because, honestly, that’s what makes life fun. This special covers everything— the
highs, the lows, the fun, the messy, and the downright absurd.
That said, I have one simple goal with this special: that you laugh and have a great
time—preferably while sipping on a drink.
