This Saturday: Just the Beginning
Some of the stuff we do at The Clubhouse is to make money. These are highly-produced shows in prime time slots with top comedians (like this Saturday’s Spotlight with Marnie Manning). Other stuff we do because we’re comedy nerds and we wanna do nerdy comedy stuff.
Here’s some stuff for the nerds:
On Saturday, we’re having a Fringe Preview Day for all of the Barcelona-based comedians that are heading out to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. We’re giving them all one last chance to run their shows before they go, and we’re packing it all into one day!
All shows are FREE (pay what you want) and we’re kicking the day off from 10:30am with FREE pancakes & coffee. The first show is Stuart Kennedy’s hit format show, Comedians & Dragons, at 11am.
The First Barcelona Fringe Festival
In November, we’re launching the first Barcelona Fringe Festival!
This is a giant collaborative effort between all the major players in Barcelona’s growing comedy scene.
And we’re excited to have shows in English, Spanish, and Catalan
We’ll be inviting top comedians from around the world to come perform fringe-style shows in a bunch of venues across Barcelona.
So far, we’re collaborating with: Secret Comedy Club, Barcelona Improv Group (BIG), La Llama Comedy Bookstore, Barking Ventures, Imprfcto Comedy, Basemint Comedy, Atomic Comedy, Imprfcto Bars, Metamorfasis Comedy AND Roast Battle Barcelona!
Plus, we’re gonna add a bunch more collaborators and sponsorships between now and November (so please reach out if you want to be a sponsor).
