Saturday Spotlight: Brian Babylon

Brian Babylon is a comedian, producer, writer, director, and radio host. His exceptional talent opened doors to television, and he became a panelist on the popular NPR radio show “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me”, where his quick wit and engaging banter delighted audiences. He then was tabbed as producer on Comedy Central’s “Why? With Hannibal Buress,”. Additionally, he brought his creativity to the forefront as the writer and director of the film “Bad Shrooms Good Trip.” In the world of podcasting, Brian’s magnetic personality shines as the host and producer of “Old Black Magic and the Millennial Podcast” and “Gimme Truth Game Show,” where he effortlessly engages listeners and guests alike. Brian was the host and executive producer of “The Morning AMP” on Chicago Public Media, for over a decade, where his lively and insightful hosting style adds a unique flair to the show. Moreover, his contributions as a writer and segment producer for “What’s this BS with Yamaneika Saunders” on the Oxygen Network demonstrated his multifaceted talents. He has also been a guest host and regular panelist on “Windy CityLIVE” ABC Chicago. His involvement in hosting the live Moth story slam in Chicago from 2009 to 2015 exemplified his ability to connect with audiences in diverse settings. Brian’s passion for ideas and culture has made him a cherished host for “Chicago Ideas Week” since 2011, where he delivered thought-provoking discussions and perspectives. His contributions to BBC Radio as an arts and culture contributor as voice-over for the Barack Obama documentary went on to critical acclaim.
