The Comedy Clubhouse BCN

Banned Camp • Live Music Mic • In The Alcove: Laietana
Banned Camp is a Thursday night music event at The Comedy Clubhouse Laietana built on the idea that enthusiasm matters more than talent. It’s for anyone who loves music—whether you used to play, still play, or only sing in the shower. The format blends a proper live feature set with the playful open jam that made the original Banned Camp so popular.

The night begins at 8:30pm with a 45-minute performance from a local artist or band. This opening slot gives emerging acts a chance to perform for a warm, supportive audience while giving guests a great show before things get looser and more unpredictable. Arrive early, grab food from Nikki’s Kitchen (open from 6:30pm), and settle into the intimate live-music vibe.

Around 9:15–9:30pm, the open jam begins. Anyone can jump up and play—no experience needed. Pick a song, dust off old skills, try something new, or just bring the energy. Performers get one free drink (beer or wine) as a thank-you. The mood is relaxed, welcoming, and fun.

Banned Camp is just as enjoyable if you never touch an instrument. Expect a friendly, communal atmosphere with a mix of brilliant moments and hilarious experiments. The feature set brings structure and quality; the jam keeps it spontaneous.

Reservations are encouraged to help with planning, but walk-ins are welcome. The aim is simple: live music, good food, and the freedom to play.
