Highlights
There’s a lot going on this weekend, but we’re excited to have another Gong Wild show on Saturday at 10pm! If you’ve never been, this show is based on the classic gong show format, where comedians try to do their sets and make the audience laugh… but some members of the audience have the power to vote the comedian off the stage if they don’t think it’s going well enough. So, acts will bring their very best material to try and beat the gong, but the audience is who truly holds the power and will determine who gets to finish their sets and who leaves in shame. Our Spotlight headliner this week is none other than local and international legend Kyla Cobbler! Kyla is one of Ireland’s funniest emerging comedic talents. She brings freshness to the scene with her undeniable talent and immediate connection to the different crowds in Europe’s different showcases. Her honest, blunt, and deep comedic storytelling style has made her one of the European scenes favorites. Not only has she opened for top comedians like Michelle Wolf and Emma Doran, but she’s sold out massive venues herself, like the Cork Opera House.

👨❤️💋👨 Instead of our usual Shitty Mic on Monday night, it’s getting taken over by Ben Hays Miller and Ewan May! They’ll debut their combined hour, Expat Love. It’s just 2 guys, talkin’.
🎩 For lover of all things alternative comedy, Sadness Cabaret is your night! Come see this wacky variety show, filled with characters, clowning, sketches, music, and more! It’s definitely not a standard stand up or improv show, but it’s sure to be a great laugh!
🔥 It’s time for another Roast Battle! As part of the global Roast Battle league, we take making hilarious insults very seriously. Watch as comedians go head to head in this no-holds-barred joke writing competition. This week, Luke Messina hosts, Hector Ayala, Teddy Hall, and Helen Lambshead judge, and catch battles from Jamie Lerner vs. Phil Varney, Alex Jacob vs. Dennisitoo, and Yoky Yu vs. Ben Hays Miller.
🤠 One of our favorite visitors, Teddy Hall, is bringing us his solo hour Crocodile Cowboy ‘22. At the beginning of 2022, Teddy was at the beginning of a 5 month stint in a mental health institution, freshly out of a relationship, and all out of clean socks. By the end of the year, it would be the best year of his life, but he still had no clean socks. Come out for a heartfelt comedy show all about mental health and choosing happiness. It’s funnier than that sounds.
🍆 And if you want more Teddy Hall, he’s gathering up some of our scene’s best acts for Too Naughty, a show about sex, love, relationships, and dating. Whether you’re in a happy relationship, or eternally single, this show will have something you can connect to.
🎤 If you love our local scene, come support up-and-coming stars Ben Pabla and Esther in their first split hour show, Lesbian Innit. They’ll each do 30 mins of their very best material they’ve been working on at mics. Yeah, that’s how a split hour works!
🙅🏼 The gong is back this weekend, with another edition of Gong Wild! At this show, the audience is in charge of which comedians get to finish their sets, and which have to leave the stage with a resounding smack of the gong. Who will beat the gong? Who will leave in tears? Find out this weekend!
🍮 We’ve got another Nonsense Pudding this weekend! It’s our open mic for alternative comedy, so see acts trying out new characters, sketches, clown bits, and more. You never know what you’re going to get at this eclectic open mic night!
