The Comedy Clubhouse

What languages are the shows in?

Most of our shows are in English, but we’re international (no big deal), so we regularly have shows in other languages like Italian, Russian, Catalan, and once per week in Spanish. If the show is in any language other than English, it will be clearly stated. Check out our weekly schedule on IG @thecomedyclubhousebcn or view the full show schedule on our website www.thecomedyclubhouse.es

La mayoría de nuestros shows están en inglés. Si no lo es, estará marcado claramente. Se puede ver el horario semanal en nuestro IG (@thecomedyclubhousebcn) o el horario completo en la web:  www.thecomedyclubhouse.es

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Unless the show is sold out, you can buy tickets at the door, but buying them online will always be cheaper. We recommend buying in advance, not only to save a few extra euros, but also to save our staff trouble when it comes to planning. Buying online is the only way to guarantee your seat at a show because, not to brag, but some of our shows regularly sell out.

Can I get a refund?

If you ask at least 24 hours before the show starts, we’ll grant a refund, no matter the reason, but please note that this does not include fees on top of the ticket price. We can also swap the ticket to a different date for the same show if you prefer. If you message us within 24 hours of the show time, we can’t guarantee a refund or swap for the same show, but we’ll do our best to swap your ticket to a different show.

We cannot refund extra tickets at the door because we plan staff according to the number of sales.

When can I see Michelle Wolf or comedians like her perform?

When we get the opportunity to have comedy bigshots like Michelle Wolf, Trevor Noah, Louis CK (the list is actually quite extensive, again, no big deal), we release all details to our WhatsApp Regulars group chat first. If you want to be the first to know about ticket releases and surprise special guests or possible celebrity drop-ins (shout out to Mark Normand) join our “The Clubhouse Regulars” group chat here: Join The Regulars Chat. This is one group you don’t want to skim or put on mute. We don’t mean to be cryptic, but sometimes we can’t announce who the performer is, so we may drop subtle hints. Those who read carefully shall be rewarded with big laughs.

Can I arrive late?

The only way to guarantee your entry into a show is by arriving on time. We know, we know. This is Spain, and timeliness isn’t a part of the culture, so if a show isn’t sold out, we’ll try to squeeze you in late, but please always try to arrive on time. If the show is sold out and has a waitlist, we will sell tickets to people on the waitlist 15 minutes after the show begins, so if you’re not there, your ticket might not be either. In this case, we do not guarantee entry, and we will not offer a refund.

Some comedians doing solo shows don’t allow late-comers at all because it disrupts the flow of the show, so in general, please arrive early to grab a drink and grab the seat you paid for to save us all the hassle and headache.

How do we know who is playing music on the weekend?

We post about all the music that is happening at @TheClubhouseBar on Instagram, so follow that account if you want or ask us on WhatsApp.

When can I see music?

You can expect to see live music every Thursday and Saturday, with the occasional sporadic music show here and there. To see what musicians are playing every week, follow @TheClubhouseBar on Instagram, where we’ll post that week’s musicians on our feed. 24 hours before the show we will also post who is playing on our stories. If you want to see the top musicians in Barcelona, come on Saturdays at 11 pm. For more info, pop us a message on WhatsApp, and we’ll let you know what’s going on.

What type of music do you have?

We don’t stick to one genre, but one thing’s for sure: all of the music we have is live. The acts we book are local artists doing their best to make it as musicians in Barcelona. There’s a wide range; from full bands to singer-songwriters, English language performers, and even Catalan; there’s something for everyone. If you’re looking for a more upbeat vibe, your best bet is to come on Saturday nights.

Can I make a reservation for food?

Of course! To pre-book a table or pre-order food, go to the “Food” page on our website or send us a message on WhatsApp. Late nights on Fridays or Saturdays can get crazy, so we may refuse reservations on those days, but if that’s the case, come along anyway, order some food, and find a place to perch while you eat.

Can I run an event at The Comedy Clubhouse?

Absolutely, within reason, of course. We’re always interested in collaborating, so tell us what you’re thinking. Drop us an email at booker@thecomedyclubhouse.es with your idea, marketing plan, and whether it’s a public or private event. If we think it’s a good fit, we’ll get back to you with more details. Please bear in mind that if it’s a Friday or Saturday night, we are extremely unlikely to do a private event, unless you offer us a million bucks, of course.

How Can I Perform at The Comedy Clubhouse?
For new and budding comics

You don’t need to be a pro comic to perform. Just rock up to “Show Up Go Up” (on Saturdays) or “Shitty Mic” (on Mondays) any week and write your name on the list. That’s it! If you’re serious about getting into comedy and you’re Barcelona-based, join our ECIB Open Spots WhatsApp Group and keep an eye out for spots in Barcelona, and sometimes, beyond.

Too nervous to go bareback? (that sounded dirtier than we intended LOL) Try one of our stand-up comedy courses and weekly Saturday workshops. We cover different topics each week, from joke writing and creating content to generating premises and honing stage presence. These are a great way to fine-tune your jokes before jumping on stage. Keep your eye out for course details on Instagram by following @thecomedyschoolhouse.

For established visiting comics

For established international acts planning to visit Barcelona, contact us on WhatsApp or send an email to Booker@TheComedyClubhouse.es with clips, credits & what kind of shows you’re looking to do, and we’ll see what we have to offer.

For musicians

If you are a musician wanting to perform, come along to “Banned Camp” on Thursday nights. It’s an open mic where anyone can jam out and play what they want. It’s a safe, judgment-free zone, so we won’t even boo you for playing “Wonderwall,” but if you want to be a featured performer on a Saturday night, use Thursday as your audition, and if the chords align, we’ll call you.

Do you have comedy courses?

Hell yeah, we do! And we’re not being funny when we say we have free (Pay What You Want) workshops on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 pm. From improv and joke writing to clown and content creation, we’re here to help you hone your funny bone and have fun while you’re at it.

Want a longer course? For our teacher’s pets, we have 6-8 week courses on Clown (Clown 101) and Stand-Up Comedy (Stand-Up Bootcamp) in addition to intensive courses from visiting teachers every few months. Follow @thecomedyschoolhouse on Instagram and keep your eye out for more details.

Can I eat during the show?

If you’re seeing a show at Via Laietana, we have delicious food that you can eat during shows that take place in the Alcove upstairs. Food will not be allowed downstairs in the Lounge, so if the show you’re seeing is taking place there, we’d recommend ordering food at least 40 minutes before the show.

At the OG Comedy Clubhouse on Canvis Nous, we don’t have food, but Laietana is only a two-minute walk away, and we keep the kitchen open late so you can grab a bite after the show.

What events do you have?

We put the “club” in Clubhouse with a range of events every night of the week. Come on Mondays and Tuesdays for free comedy open mics, Wednesdays for a pub quiz, Thursdays and Saturdays for live music, and sing your heart out with karaoke every Friday. And of course, you’ll find comedy every night of the week, including showcases on weekends, and we also have dating events, improv, and the list goes on and on. Keep an eye on our website.

The show I want to see is sold out. How do I know if it has a waitlist, and how can I get on it?

Most of our shows have a waitlist, and we do it on the door, on a first-come, first-served basis, where we try to squeeze in an extra 4 or 5 people. If you want to come to a sold-out show, shoot your shot! Arrive as early as you can, let the person at the door know you want on the waitlist, wait, and pray to the comedy gods. We’ll start selling waitlist tickets 15 minutes after the official show start time. We can’t guarantee you a seat, but we can guarantee you a good drink and bite to eat if it doesn’t work out. Some of our shows sell out quickly, so if you want to be the first one to know all the deets, we announce top-selling shows in our “The Clubhouse Regulars” WhatsApp chat.

Can I Bring My Dog?

You’re dog-gone right you can. We accept all good boys and girls, but we usually get pretty packed on Friday and Saturday nights, which may not be the safest environment for anxious pups or comfortable for big dogs hanging out on the floor. We recommend bringing pets to a show on a quieter night, like Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. We kindly ask that dogs be on leash at our Laitetana venue because doggos love food just as much as hoomans do.

Is the venue accessible for wheelchair users or other disabilities?

At our Canvis Nous location, most of our shows happen in the basement, down a set of very steep stairs with a railing. If you let us know in advance, we’ll always let people with mobility issues go down first, so there’ll be plenty of time to walk carefully and pick the best seats to suit your needs. Bathrooms are on the ground floor, so going downstairs is not necessary; however, neither bathroom is big enough to fit a wheelchair.

At our Laietana venue, we have shows both upstairs and downstairs. For shows happening upstairs, audience members are required to climb 3 wide stairs without a railing to get there. For shows downstairs, there are several sets of stairs with a partial railing. If you or someone in your group has mobility issues and needs time to go up and down the stairs, please let us know in advance, and we’ll give you first dibs on entry so you can take your time heading down and choose the best seats to suit your needs. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the ground floor, and smaller bathrooms at the bottom of the stairs.

Is there an age limit to attend shows?

Generally speaking, people should be 18+ to attend our shows. Children aged 16+ may come to shows if they are accompanied by an adult. If a child is under the age of 16, we might make exceptions depending on the show, but please contact us beforehand to check. Please keep in mind that the majority of our shows are geared towards 18+ audiences, so our comedians won’t change their planned material to accommodate the presence of a child in a room. If you’re comfortable with your child potentially hearing d*** jokes, no judgements!

When there’s a big match, do you show sports?

We’re not just comedy fans. Our bar staff and owner are football fans too, so trust and believe when we say that we’ll do our best to show all major games and even smaller matches, so long as they don’t clash with our shows. Check out our Instagram @TheClubhouseBar at the start of each month to see our schedule. Don’t see a match listed? If you want us to show a particular match, pop us a message on WhatsApp and we’ll see what we can do, but we can’t guarantee your team will win!

And don’t you worry, we’re already prepping for the World Cup. We plan to show big matches on several screens throughout the club, run related shows to stick with the football theme, and hold promotions because we’re all winners at the end of the day, especially when it comes to drinks and food.

If I have an inquiry, can I call you?

No, we don’t answer. Feel free to message us on WhatsApp, and we’ll do our best to respond in 5 minutes or less. We’ll only arrange a call if it’s absolutely necessary, but it’s 2026, don’t call us out of the blue, please.

What Are Your Customer Service Hours?

Our hours vary depending on demand, but you can always count on us from Monday-Thursday 5-9 pm, Fridays from 4-10 pm, Saturdays from 2-10 p,m and Sundays 2-9 pm. If you pop us a message on WhatsApp, Instagram, or email during these hours, you can expect a response in 5 minutes or less, which can feel like eternity for a comic who’s bombing on stage, but hey, when it comes to customer service, that’s pretty fast!

You’ve got 99 problems, and our customer service agent should be able to solve nearly all of them, aka about 95%, but for a more specific inquiry like corporate gigs or show bookings, we’ll have a member of our core team reach out.

Do you produce shows at venues other than The Clubhouse Laietana and The Comedy Clubhouse?

Yes! We’re everywhere, all at once. We collaborate with some of the biggest brands in Barcelona, like “The Casino of Barcelona” and “Soho House”, and other global comedy brands, like “Dont tell Comedy”, too. Not to brag, but again, we’re kind of a big deal.

Want a comedian at your next private event? See our “Corporate Page” for more information about booking specific comedians for things like Christmas parties, team buildings, birthdays, and more.
