Ever dreamt of being in a band? Us too. Banned Camp is your chance to enjoy live music in the way that you see fit. Whether you want to pick up an instrument, grab a mic and harmonise, or just watch and hum along to the beat, this weekly jam session blends a featured artist with an anything-goes community stage.
Every Thursday a local musician or band will play music ‘til their heart’s content (and by that we mean for one hour, no more). Then the open mic begins, and anyone can step up to the stage to play. Professional musicians, shower-singers, bedroom songwriters, and first-timers are welcome to share the same stage, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that is music to your ears.
You might see something brilliant, something unhinged, or something that somehow works against all odds. This night is perfect for music lovers who enjoy discovering local talent, performers looking for a friendly stage, and anyone who prefers a communal, low-pressure alternative to a traditional gig.
